DIL’s Gateway Initiative is a three-pronged approach to preparing young people to become productive members of society.
Program focus areas include:

- Career counseling, internships and scholarships
- Work readiness, vocational training and entrepreneurship training
LEADERSHIP TRAINING SESSIONS
DIL Students at IzzatMachi and M.K. Jamro received life skills and leadership training sessions. The purpose of these sessions is to groom them to feel confident in pursuing professional careers. A total of 34 students participated in this training which was conducted over seven sessions. In one session entitled Tied up in Knots, dealt with stress and emotions, there was an interesting activity in which students shared their pet peeves (daily stresses) while unwinding the ball of yarn. They also learned ways of reducing their stress and coping with their negative emotions. Another session focused on goal setting, Students have learned how to plan their future goals step by step by making their personal time lines and future road maps.
